Frequently Asked Questions

MORE

How does the Rattler work?

The digital Rattler is a movement detector. If the sensor is moved at least six degrees in any direction, the sensor will send a signal.

What is the typical battery life?

The battery will typically last 2-3 years.

If the Rattler is frequently moved, that will significantly reduce the battery life.

Is this sensor Weather Rated?

Yes, this sensor is weather resistant, but not submersible.

I have a slow flash on the zone that correlates to my Rattler. What do I do?

Grab the Rattler and let it sit still for 30 seconds and see if it continues to flash.

Verify that a working battery is installed, and all wires are connected and have no visible breaks.

If the zone light does not clear, please call us at 1-888-TELL-ON-U.

What does it mean when I have a fast flash on the zone that correlates to my Rattler?

It likely means that the battery needs replaced. This can also mean the Rattler is no longer within range of the base unit.

Bring the Rattler over to the base unit, open the end, and pull out the cassette. Then place a new battery into the transmitter and press the Reset Button that is located beside the battery.

Which end do I open?

When opening the Rattler, reference the sticker that points to the end you should unscrew.
